A symbol isn't recognized

  • Scan in good light, or turn on the flashlight.
  • Move closer or zoom in until the symbols fill the screen.
  • Hold the label flat, without folds.

You can also scan a label from a photo or a file, and add or remove symbols by hand in Review Scan before you save.

My wardrobes don't show up on another device

Laundry Lens keeps your wardrobes in your own iCloud. Make sure each device is signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is turned on for Laundry Lens in Settings. Syncing can take a few minutes, and needs an internet connection.

What's free, and what does Plus add?

Scanning care labels, the symbols library, Basket, Siri and Shortcuts, and iCloud sync are free, with up to 15 garments in one wardrobe. Laundry Lens Plus removes those limits: unlimited garments and wardrobes, monthly, yearly, or with a one-time purchase. If Plus ends, you keep seeing and editing all your garments; you just can't add more over the limit.

I bought Plus, but the app doesn't show it

Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used to buy it. Then open Laundry Lens Plus in the app and tap Restore Purchases.

Can my family use Plus?

Yes. With Family Sharing, Plus is shared with up to five family members, at no extra cost.

Manage or cancel a subscription

In Laundry Lens, open Plus and tap Manage Subscription. You can also go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least a day before it renews; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.

Request a refund

Purchases are made through the App Store, and Apple handles refunds. In Laundry Lens, open Plus and tap Request a Refund, or go to reportaproblem.apple.com.

Names, colors, and fabrics aren't filled in

Filling in a garment's details uses Apple Intelligence. It needs a compatible device with Apple Intelligence turned on, and isn't available in every language or region. Everything else in Laundry Lens works without it.
